By any means, I'm no professional, but I just figured that it would be fun and nice to show my process in my more recent stuff.

Making The Catfox (Cel-Shading/Painting Mix):

Step 1: I sketch a quick draft on a midtone background to set everything in position within the canvas.
Step 2: I make a rough sketch to carve out definitive shapes and important bases.
Step 3: I finalize the sketch
Step 4: I make the line-art for the piece, adding in whatever detail is necessary.
Step 5: I darken the background as I prepare for coloring and color the lineart in a color that would fit the aimed 'feel' of the piece.
Step 6: I put down the base colors and adjust the lineart accordingly.
Step 7: I figure out the light source and lay down the lighting and shadows. Although solid and edgy shadows are preferred for Cel-Shading, I wanted to give it a more rounded feel to it so I painted on the shadows and highlights.
Step 8: I draw out and work on the background, as well as creating shadows to emphasize the relationship of the subject to the background.
Step 9: I do some post processing to give it that nice 'Anime' feel. to it.
Aaaaaand besides signing the piece, that's about it.
