Hey. I learned a few new things while looking at this image. I had never known before that missiles were tested and launched close to Huntsville, Alabama, and it's quite possible that's how the Redstone liquid fuel booster got it's name. Looking at the page on Wikipedia it's listed that the booster went through quite a few modifications before it was used to launch the Mercury capsules into sub-orbital flights.
I'm guessing the example here in this image is an inert display as that booster was "Retired" by the mid 1960s. Ah, those days of early rocketry! Carbonized vanes in the thrust chamber to control direction with a non gimballing nozzle... Those were some (Dangerous compared to now.) Days.
