The most Ancient of Gryphons
Owls are one of the "least evolved" creatures of this world in that, they evolved very quickly into the shapes we know them for today... and stopped. They did so very much right with their evolution in becoming the powerhouse animals that we know, that they haven't really evolved across time as many other creatures have. It's one of the many reasons they are by far my favorite bird.
Here we have an owl gryphon, adorned beautifully with longer feathers and a large fluff that makes her look much much bigger than she actually is. Still, with just the body and mass of a small earth jaguar she is death on silent wings.

Thank you so much Lady! :D I actually took the picture with my Iphone, did preliminary crop and some exposure adjustments there, then took it into photoshop for a last "clean"
