So this thing has been sitting in my room, waiting to be ironed for a few months now. It was a very intimidating sprite to me, but I finally managed to get it together. There are an immense amount of challenges when it comes to making a sprite this large, and it took me about 10 hours to iron altogether. It didn't turn out perfectly, but given what I had to go through, I think it looks alright.
This sprite was probably one of my favorite ones to bead- it just looks gorgeous. It was a custom sprite made by the wonderful
as part of our fursona sprite deal thingy that we do. This was..probably a bit too large- I didn't really know what I was getting into when this happened, but it's done now!
I took the picture on cardboard because the surface I was working on originally was black and it sort of hid everything. It didn't look great.
WIP can be seen here.
7,459 beads.
made the original sprite and belongs to Trigger. Ask him if you want it.

Wow! I'm assuming you ironed it in sections as I can see a dividing line through the tongue. Equal heat distribution is always the hardest part, I literally was just ironing a sprite together that refused to melt in one spot, thus all the other beads around it had to suffer, which is a problem I've been running into quite often. I still don't know how you get yours so perfect.
If you look at the WIP for this sprite, that's essentially how it was put together. I ran into some absolutely massive issues taping it together, which caused a whole bunch of sections to be uneven. I'm rather upset about it, but overall it turned out fine and it looks good from a distance.
As for 'getting it perfect', it's far from that..but your best bet is lots of time and patience and masking tape. It does help quite a bit.

this is awesome! Great work as always bud!
I've been thinking - would a soldering iron be workable for smaller bits that won't melt? You could apply the same amount of heat (approx), but to pretty much an individual bead connection. Let me know what you think!
