ZZ Cat - God Defend New Zealand (W.I.P)
Hi all. I haven't uploaded anything in a while due to the fact of me not havin' any internet for ten months (while I was in Whangarei).
While I was up there, I have been workin' on some recordings & THIS is one of 'em.
It's my home country's national anthem "God Defend New Zealand" & I have included a cool little wallpaper from HD Wallpapers as the thumbnail image.
This is STILL a work in progress & I can't be bothered puttin' this in my scraps folder until I have finished workin' on this.
Some stuff needs doing:
> Track the rest of the percussion.
> Track the bass guitar.
I have made some changes to my percussion back-track that I have written in FL Studio. I still think it sounds a tad weak, but somewhat better than the other drum packages that came with FL.
Another thing I was experimenting with was my two amplifiers & my ME-25.
What I have done is, plugged the Mississippi Mouse into the left output channel & the LD15 into the right output channel. I have the 'Mouse sittin' on top of the LD15 & it fills out the sound from my BCR-500 (Especially when I'm using dropped tunings such as "dropped D" or "dropped B") & it gives my "stage tone" (I suppose) a bit more of an edge.
I know you guys can't hear it in this recording, because my ME-25 uses it's little COSM "Amp Simulator" when I'm recording via it's USB interface.
What I might do is, mic up both amps & record them as seperate Left/Right channels so you get to hear the difference (I'll try this when I re-record GDNZ after I have finished writing my version of it).
Above all, enjoy the song for what it is so far. Lemme know what ya think of it & any other improvements I could possibly make on it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
ROCK ON!!! \m/ =>/,..,<= \m/
