So I'm going with the Galaxky (galaxy husky) build, and I wanted to make a working prop to go with him. Just a simple boom box made out of Plexiglas and blacklight LEDs.
Note that these dimensions are nowhere near final spec.
Trying to make this prop as cheap, yet functional as possible.
I've ordered a set of cheap 6.75" Rockford Fosgate full range components, a 100 peak watt Boss amp (probably more like 50), and an 8x D battery cradle to put out the 12v.
If my math is right, it should get ~1 hour on rechargeable at full volume, or ~2 hours on top quality alkaline.
It'll just be a simple RCA or 3.5 input.
Also incorporated some venting to possibly pull a little bass out of them little speakers.
Might even make the shutter shades out of plexi too.
