Seeing as I don't have the necessary equipment to throw a ceramic canopic vessel (i.e., potter's wheel, clay, and a kiln) I'm making Sting's funerary jar with sculpty. This means I need to have an existing jar first that I can modify -- of which from years of collecting odd things for Faire, I happen to have.

This is the jar that I will be converting over. When I originally bought this farmhouse butter jar, I thought it would be the kind that had a bell under the lid to store butter in water, but it didn't. Now it will have a better purpose than sitting in the kitchen window sill. :D
