Sorry for the delay, but well, part 3 is finally here!
Only one more part to go before we finish Chapter 3.
My classes have started, so it will take longer for me to post new stories.
Today is saturday and I have classes even on a day that everyone was supposed to be resting...
Since I couldn't sleep, I've decided on writting this, possibly my best story so far. Hope you guys like it!

“I am Different” pt. 3
- Yay! I win again!
- Aww c'mon that's not fair! It's the sixth time in a row!
It had been a joyful night for the two wolves. They had watched a good animation movie from Disney about a city filled up with anthropomorphic animals and “walking on two feet”… They sure laughed a lot and enjoyed themselves watching the movie. Disney movies were among Snowy's favorite ones. He loved how they could be funny, yet touching and sweet.
Soon after the movie had ended, they decided to play video games. Snowy allowed Ethan to choose a game for then to play… Unfortunately for him, he picked Super Smash Bros. Brawl, a game on which Snowy was surprisingly good. For his first character, Ethan chose Fox while Snowy picked Kirby, his favorite character on the game. It wasn't long, though, until Ethan had realized that he would get his ass kicked.
It wasn't long until the gray wolf had started losing. Not only that, but he lost six times in a row! He loved Nintendo games as much as Snowy, but he surely wasn't as good as him.
- Don't blame me, you're the one who chose this game, remember? - Snowy said with a giggle.
- Yeah, I know, I know, but… You're just so good at it that I don't stand a chance! - Ethan crossed his arms. He wasn't mad though, he was really enjoying his time together with the arctic wolf.
- Okay, okay, we can play on co-op now. - Said the arctic wolf with a soft smile. Seeing that smile kind of made Ethan blush a bit, but he wasn't really letting it show.
- But how? There are only me and you in here… We don't have anybody to fight against.
- Well, we can always fight against CPU players… But since we're playing Brawl, I think we could play the Subspace Emissary story… - He blushed a bit. - I… I've always wanted to play that with someone as my Player 2…
- Very well then. - He smiled. - I shall be your Player 2. Let's move in to the Subspace Emissary story. I've already beaten it before, but I don't mind beating it a second time.
- Yay! Thanks, Ethan! You're the coolest!
And there they went. They played absolutely all of the Subspace Emissary. It took more than 2 hours, but they didn't really care. They were enjoying themselves so much, like never before. They laughed, had fun, died, progressed, died again, progressed again, but, most importantly, they were enjoying each other's presence.
It was about 5 am when they had finally finished playing. They were both happy. The strange and warm feeling that happiness gives to people… They hadn't felt that for a really long time. To tell the truth, Snowy couldn't even remember the last time he felt such good feeling. For a long time all he had felt was depression, sorrow,anxiety, fear and regrets.
- Well… I guess it's getting late… I mean… Early. - He giggled. - So, what do you say about we go to bed now, Snowy?
- Yes, of course… I'm feeling a bit tired too… I loved this night… I wish it could have lasted forever. But before we go to bed...
The arctic wolf got up and headed towards the wardrobe, making a signal with his hand for Ethan to follow him. The gray wolf responded to the call immediately.
- I want to introduce you to a friend of mine… - Said Snowy, as he opened one of the doors of the Wardrobe and started to search for something among the clothes. - This is Bubbles… - He pulled a very small aquarium from within the wardrobe, revealing a very small and beautiful jellyfish inside of it.
- Whoa! You have a jellyfish as a pet? That's so cool! It's very nice to meet you, Bubbles.
- Hehe, thanks… One of my Zoology teachers gave it to me… He said he was worried that I was always alone and that he wanted me to have some company… I always hide it on the wardrobe though… I'm afraid that someone may take it from me or accidentally break the glass when I'm not home...
- That was very nice of him. And I can tell that you sure love Bubbles a lot. It almost feels like it shines! I can't even tell if it's green, red, purple or blue… I just know that it's beautiful.
Snowy blushed a bit with that. He was never sure if Bubbles liked him or not. Jellyfish are a very simple kind of animals with a very simple nervous system. They don't show emotion like other pets. But after hearing Ethan's words about how Bubbles colours were so powerful as if they were shinning, he knew that he had been taking good care of his friend.
- You know… I've always loved animals, but I've never been able to handle them well… I used to have a dog a couple of years ago… And… My parents gave him to another family because I wasn't able to take proper care of it and they wouldn't help me too… - He sighed. - Bubbles doesn't give me any problems at all… I just need to give him some food once per day and that's enough to make him happy… I'm always talking to him and telling him my problems… I know he doesn't understand me, but still…
- I'm sure he does. - Ethan smiled and put a hand on Snowy's shoulder. - In his own way, but I'm sure he understands your feelings. And now you have someone that speaks the same tongue as you to listen to you and understand your feelings. I want you to know that I am here for you. I am your friend.
- M-my… F-friend…? - Snowy blushed heavily as he got lost on his thoughts. He never had a friend before. The last time he called someone a friend he got betrayed badly. He knew that he shouldn't trust on the words of someone he had just met… Someone that didn't even know about his secret yet. But he couldn't help it. He had dreamed about having a friend for such a long time and now that dream was becoming a reality…
- Come, it's time to sleep. - Ethan said with a smile.
- O-okay! - Said the arctic wolf as they both walked towards the small room that was the bedroom. The room was very small and only had a bed and a mattress on the ground. There wasn't even much space for walking. - I'll sleep on the ground… You can sleep on my bed today.
- Nope. I'm sleeping on the ground. I want you to be very comfortable and cozy, after all, you're the one who almost got soaked today.
- E-ethan… - He blushed a bit. - O-okay then… T-thanks for caring for me…
Snowy went to his bed and covered himself up with the blankets while Ethan took his shoes off and lied down on the mattress that was on the ground. He didn't remove his socks though. It was cold and he liked to keep his paws warm. He covered himself up with the blankets, as he thought about the great night he'd just had with Snowy. With happy smiles, both of them closed their eyes and fell asleep.

It was about 14 o'clock when Ethan woke up. He had slept like a puppy even though he was sleeping during the morning. That was all thanks to him sleeping on a creature of the night's place. Snowy's teacher had bought some very thick curtains for him to sleep better. Almost no light was welcomed on the room unless he opened up the curtains.
As soon as the gray wolf got up, he made sure that he wouldn't make absolutely any noises and was very careful not to wake Snowy up. He soon headed towards the refrigerator and grabbed some water. He was very thirsty, it's always like this when he wakes up. He grabbed his cellphone to check for new messages. There was one. It was from his cousin, Roger. He read the message:
“R u awake yet?! I now u r sleeping on dat weirdo's room! I'll b nearby, please call me as soon as u see dis message!” - Sent: 10 a.m
- Huh? What is the big deal? What does he want? Well… I guess I'd better reply to him, or he is going to kill me. - And so he did and it wasn't long until he received a reply from his cousin. - Whoa! He surely wasn't joking when he said he was nearby huh? “Meet me on the dormitory's restaurant”… I wonder what he wants…
Ethan put his shoes on and quietly left the room, being very careful not to make any noises. As soon as he reached the restaurant, his cousin rushed to him, grabbing him by the shirt and shaking him up.
- Dude! You've got to get out of here immediately! Please, you've gotta tell me that you've slept with your shoes on! You must tell me that you've slept with your shoes on!
- Hey, calm down man! I didn't! You know I hate wearing shoes! What's this commotion about my shoes now anyway?
- That guy's crazy! Do you remember Davis? The guy that first tried to approach your… “friend”…?
- Yes… I do… What does he has to do with me wearing shoes?
- That weirdo you've spent the night with is a pervert! Do you know why Davis gave up on him? It's because he tried to rape Davis' feet while he was asleep!
