I have to second that notion. :P I'd rather go south than north for my vacations. I'm TOTALLY with you. Heheh
On the other hand, I'm also insane that way. Despite hating the bone chilling cold and wet of winter and despise blizzards and Noreaster storms, I DO love the warm-weather stuff like hurricanes. I love them! I always enjoyed the natural disaster, hunker down and emergency experience and I totally appreciate the power of a natural storm like that.. and hurricanes give you plenty of warning to get ready.
One of my favorite experiences was being in a bus in Iowa during a particularly violent storm in July and being chased by two tornadoes. We ended up stopping at windbreakers along the way and everything. I LOVED it. I didn't particularly care if it was dangerous but the driver was careful and we suggested on erring on the side of caution regarding when to leave the windbreakers--it was just exciting! :) ...but I think I'm in a minority there too. heheh (One of my friends once tried pushing my in the direction of helping NOAA with weather chasing.. I think I'd love that. never did, though.)
My point is "to each their own." My brother is more like Sachi. He'd rather head north. It's just a matter of what jives best with you--cold snow and bumbling around with nature... or warm weather and sunny drives in a car with no roof. :)

immediate comfort is all we seem to have left. this life is not forever, once you are dead, this worlds pleasures will mean nothing, no matter how high the thermostat is, or how many beautiful sights you have seen, we are all going to die. but some peoples deaths are sooner than they think, beware, for things are not as they seem...
