Okay, so last night I got frustrated...game got left on what I'd call a cliffhanger note, our new computer's arrival has been stalled, and I couldn't sleep. I remembered the amazing image Defilerwyrm made in real medium when she was stuck away from the keyboard...so I followed her example and busted out some paint.
Of course, this was WAAAAAAAAAY late last night, when I should have been sleeping, as evidenced by Njotr's amazing gravity-defying hair. His tail and his fur and his necklace are all flowing down, but OMG HAIR UNAFFECTED BY THE LAWS OF PHYSICS! Yeah I dunno what sort of idiot thing posessed me to draw him like that.
Irregardless, I like this...I like the pose...and I just LOVE his right arm and hand-paw. XD

Mulefoot said it best, I think. Drawing and coloring in real life is like art without the safey net. I'd miss my layers and undo key too much to attempt it. :3
The details of his hands and especially his foot really popped out at me, and the pose is fantastic. This kind of realism is my favorite kind of furry art.
The pose does suggest he's about to, or is, straightening quickly, so it is a shame about the hair. Just perfect otherwise.
