It is during summer months, in winter there's not much to do but pick fruit. (Not many fish or insects to collect)

It really depends on what kind of games you like. If you like games that involve building a town and doing stuff like fishing or bug hunting to earn money, then sure! You probably will enjoy it! The animal villagers are really cute, they all have their own personalities and talk to you and ask you to do things and give you gifts.

You can also visit friends towns and they can visit you!

Lastly, it runs in "real time". Whatever time of day it is for you, it is the same in the game! :)

oh man i LOOOOOOOOOOVE new leaf. i play it every day, no joke. i got it in early july of 2013 and have literally played it every single day since then! i still have one of my original villagers too :D
