That was not funny much to draw a Gargoyle.
The story is better than the draw.

From a region, A great magician worked as architect to help the poor about their houses sometimes, help to repair and create some mystic building.
His name is not too important, but "Wirth Bastx".
He lived aways of others in his own castle made by self, he build by his spells and magie, he create Gargoyles to help as workers and servitor.

One day, from the appreciation of the chefs of the crusaders, they asked him to build warmachines and use his gargoyles for, but Wirth refused. They ordered to capture the mage, but he resist. From the insult Wirth made, they throw a Arrow in his room, can't to reach him. Knowing his situation, he prefered to sacrifice himself to making his last creation, a artifact (the mace) having his magie and a part of his personnality (why the pant) and his knowledge. The Artifact can think self, this is the Character, he called Arcis, his job is to continue the passion of his master, create some mystic building, repair and build for poor, never use his magie to kill.

From the dead of the master, many gargoyles come crazy and attacking anything seems dangerous and search for energy.
The gargoyles are created by magie, some materials for base, but rare Crystal to can works with the magie, the mace can generate the magie and repair one the gargoyles basicly, but from the moment of creation, he didn't enough strong to controle all gargoyles, most them crazy where they are too different to can be controled easy (imperfections and différences of magies and systems).

Others gargoyles not crazy are still loyal and follow the orders of their master, the maces create his own body to can move and acts as a person, 4 gargoyles are guards. They took the body of the master and escape from the attack while the crazy gargoyles push aways the crusaders and will come sleep while no one will come in the place, one order they have to don't kill everyone from action of Wirth is guarding the building to decoy the crusaders.

The artifacts and gargoyles come in a hide place so aways to don't be found by the crusaders and anyone. The artifact make his first build mystic, systems of protection of the places, decoys and the "headquarters" to rest, build system to repair, generate
and etc easier. A room is created to put the body of the master, for respect and secret of hope to remake alive.

Some gargoyles are drops in many place and using to the hear and the eyes of the artifact, but from the time and distance, they are half sleeping, to work only get information. Everywhere the artifact need to move, 4 strong guards moves, he only act while others sleep and sneaky repair and help for the building. The peoples create some versions of the story like fairy tale, generaly good. Arcis want make good reputation for get the protection and respect of him and his master died, maybe that can help against the Crusaders and show the truth, retake the castle without risk of them.

If the body of Arcis die, he can created another, but this is not a easy action.
The artifact try hard to come more powerful to help his master.

The powers of the mace is too weak for retake the castle and stop the crusaders to take the castles and the powers of the master, share the truth about it.
The Gargoyles are not made to battles and risked actions, so that will be long.
