Brush the fur away from the edge you want to cut. This may mean brushing against the natural direction of the fur. Then, cut your edge! When you brush it back the fur to it's natural direction, it will still have a natural, fluffy edge. You can use this to fix any areas that have an unnatural, straight-cut edge.
