I happen to appreciate the Spanish firm Star Firearms. These are in my personal collection. Beauty of these, are that they are all milled steel construction.

The SA .380 is an accurate lil beast, built like a Mini 1911. The Super B is the exact same size as a 1911A1 so you have a size comparison. I haven't seen many of the SA .380s locally, maybe you'd have better luck there. I have heard of Nickle plated ones showing up.
I still find it strange that the .380 round is more expensive than a standard 9MM. But you load it with a decent defense round, a very mangeable round. The current trend for CCW is now .380.

This was awhile ago, i just remember iirc, it was a star firestar .45 compact. And i didn't buy it lol. A guy was trying to sell it to me. He claimed it had a 100% reliability track record. The trigger was utterly abysmal, the fit and finishing, especially inside were just unacceptable, deep scour marks, metal burs. It seemed pretty low mileage. From what i remember, this was probably the model http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....irestarM40.jpg
Not an indictment of stars though they seem to have a very mixed track record from what i understand, just saying my personal experience.

I jonesed for a Star Destroyer carbine when they first came out. Great Rifle, but I saw the writing on the wall for that 9X21 Largo ammo not lasting long. I am glad I didn't. That and a French P35 pistol, looked great, felt great in the hand, that damn .32 French Auto round. I only saw one box of ammo for sale in over 20 years. Glad I never bought that.
I now have a policy, the ammo must be 'WalMartable".
