Enough many times, aka; I lost count.
Like it took me forever to figure out how Leviathan can be killed + I kept running outta ammo so, I probably died in that one the most out of all the other parts of the game combined
I managed to beat the final boss with 1 health bar tho :'DDD

DS 3 wasn't really horror anymore but a FPS, need more attempts at making the player shit their pants like in the first game.. second one was also a bit too action focused but had a few really good spoopy moments!
DS4 should be like Silent Hill in space
Or like the Alien movies
(I would say Alien Isolation since that's a solid horror game, but it only has one monster & DS is all about the hordes)

Not sure whether to give you a reverend's collar or a bro-fist for the thoughts behind this. On several times, I've griped to the point of wanting to pull her back and say "Look at the CRAP I have to deal with! Stay behind and at least DO something!"... then her own death kinda made it better.

Yeah, like I figured out a couple of things that sort of make sense if you look at them a little differently to how the game presents them, like it's really stupid that the Valor couldn't detect the Ishimura just by, um, looking for the planet with a huge hole in it, but it does make sense if they're concerned with whether or not it's playing possum since the Ishimura is heavily armoured, has shields, is armed and could probably shockpoint to directly above the Valor and eat it.
Though that still doesn't explain how one Slasher could defeat a bunch of soldiers with infinite-use personal stasis modules and then infect most of them.
