There's a reason why Gene and CW are my closest friends - its because they're the ones that straightened me out. Both of them gave me the guidance I needed, and in their own ways.
The reason I can draw as well as I can is because of the Big G. He's where I learned how to get better with mr art.
The reason I started doing Kit and Kay Boodle is because of C-Dub. She showed me how important it is to make your art say what you feel.
Thanks, fellow felines. This alley cat would be poorer without you! ^_^

Holy crap, this is deep...really deep!
You know, I feel like this would be relevant to say here.
I think 90% of the reason I have the courage to draw comics and even be a furry artist is due to reading Kit n Kay Boodle. I think just seeing someone express themselves so freely just...tripped something in me, and I stopped following naysayers.
So really a lot of my present anthro art success (because actually I have gained lifelong friends from making my comic) is due to the inspiration of you.
So I just wanted to say here, thank you.

One of my favorite authors has a character who speaks of natural ability only being able to take you so far. That ability will make you good or even an expert but to be a master means lots and lots of hard practice. His trainer's in the military took his natural ability and gave it the direction it needed. What you did for Kat may not have been as hands on as that fictional situation but to me that makes little difference. Your guidance made him the warrior of the pencil and brush that he is now, you made him become an artist. You made him an artist. Add that to CW's nurturing and Kat came to be stronger than anyone could have realized.
It may all come down to semantics and I will say that how it used to be mentioned sounded more akin to Pygmalion than friendly guidance but there is no denying the sculpting that was done my man. There's a reason that after I spent however much time reading Jack from page one to current that I did the same when I found the link to yours and CW's comic on that site or a related page such as maybe his forums.
I don't believe in coincidence and I would use what Kat says as proof. Reasons things happen don't have to be earth changing to be important.

They helped you and Shirlee become someone special that's for sure. I'm very glad to have come across your comics and your FA pages. You don't give yourself enough credit though because if you hadn't of listened to what they were teaching nothing would have come of it. This strikes me as one of those things were an uplifting symbiosis occurred. You all reflect the best that you gave each other.

Gene is one one of the artists who influenced my interest in the whole 'furry' scene in the first place, almost 20 years ago. I think that was about the time Catswhisker started showing up in his art, so obviously, there is a synergy going on there like nowhere else. Big G and C-Dub are a team to contend with!
