I haven't really had much success when it came to relationships, finding people that care for me, like I had cared for them. For a time it felt like each relationship I had was one that just wasn't meant to be; through those who became distant to those that wished to take advantage of things. In the end it always seemed like a relationship was going to be out of reach, just another way to get burned.

Back in May of last year though I had two very wonderful people open their hearts to me and showed me what a true relationship can be with such great love and compassion. While I know August isn't truly our "anniversary" month I consider it to be due to the fact that we all have birthdays that are perfectly setup next to each other. I hope you two gays managed to enjoy your birthdays and I hope this was a surprise worth your while. I can't predict what will happen with the next year and beyond but I thank you for everything that has happened so far, you've both made it worth the time and effort
