An absolutely stunning picture, by the impossibly good artist that is
Maquenda. I really love the beautiful atmospheric effects in this; the hazy dust, obscuring the border between land and sky, the plumes of dust rolling nearer the ground, and the most stunning of all the tiny little highlights from the light hitting the dust at higher altitudes as it passes the shape of her scythe blade. I even really love the hazy effects from the sun as it powers its way through the dust.
And Kiya herself looks outstanding too. Her expression conveys so much, stunning, graceful, powerful and serene all in one.
It must be absolutely amazing for her worshippers and followers, and they glance up through the powerful sandstorm, the silhouettes of their grandest creations, the pyramids designed to immortalise their former Pharaohs as Gods, and behind that, Kiya, their living goddess looming over even those in the most loyal and devout way possible.
