This is a bit more minimalistic than I usually compose like, but I came up with this theme just fooling around on a piano and loved it too much to really make it too elaborate. There is a hypothetical key of C minor, but I've mostly ignored that. xD

(Also, I've pumped the reverb up WAY high. :D)

I think that we take it as a happy piece because we hear the minor-third mostly harmonically, not melodically.

That's a very sweet chord progression!

This is done with Finale with a virtual instrument -- this is not me performing. I wanted the rhythm to be as rigid as possible, so I plugged it into the computer. :P

This sounds like... a sequence from a movie. In which there is no dialogue, though perhaps characters are nonetheless depicted as speaking.

Very Phillip Glass. I've really been meaning to get into minimalism/post-minimalism. Have you ever read "Composing Music: A New Approach"? Fantastic reference concerning the subject matter. Anyhow, dig the piece. Jus' plain beauteous.
