My first pass on painting the jar, using a paint designed to stick to plastic and ceramic. I'll let it cure overnight, but I'm not sure if I want the ultra-shiny look. I may need to pick up a matte black from the hardware store tomorrow.

I think I'd go with a matte finish, myself.

I was debating going for a straight matte black or one of the 'stone' finishes.... I suppose I could do a test and see if I like that look.

I'm impressed on just how SHINY this gloss is, the photo shows up all these extra colors that are reflections around the head!

Nope, it's a single coat of paint.... Rustoleum's Universal Paint is a one-coat for any base (metal, wood, plastic, ceramic, etc.)
