The nights are dark here
Stars are hidden and snow smears
The mountainside. Not even the sun has appeared
In the daytime, and I fear
I have forgotten when daybreak is near.
In the dark is when I train
On the unstable terrain.
It doesn’t get warm enough to rain
And many times I refrain
From giving in; I’m quite frail.
When the stars are veiled,
I learn how harness my powers.
Although I have wept showers
Of tears, I remember my vow:
I will avenge my father and I will not bow
To any force of evil, not now
And not ever. I slave to not make my trainer frown.
I will succeed; I will not let him down.
I will break anyone who thinks they can crown
Themselves above others; what clowns!
They will all drown
In their own blood out of towns.
The dark nights echo my heartbeat
As I will not forget when evil beat
My father and bled him at their feet.
These dark night are cold,
But they work to mold
Me and teach me to be bold.
In my family’s dojo, I learn to get ahold
Of my powers and unlock my abilities
Only wish the dark nights would turn the possibilities
Of seeing the sun in my favour. My responsibilities
Are clear and the accessible utilities
Make me a contender for my foe’s capabilities.
Until then, I bask in these dark nights
And one day, I will defeat all the dark knights.
A incredibly awesome poem I got from
A Little Corgi Named Jazz that describes Max well in his heavy training to unlock his powers while still suffering from the mental stress on the loss of his family.
