this is the body for an r/c dragster i am building, it's a 1972 chevy truck and i wanted a paint job to challenge the hell out of me, so i decided to do a style i have never done before, Lace Paint. i think it turned out rather well for my first time. i need more types of lace and more candy paints for the bodies. other then the lace being stiff plastic lace for flowers this stuff worked rather well. it moved a few times on the drivers side of the hood. but man i cant wait to do another lace paint job. i might even do some on my full size car. ^__^

Nice paint. The texture almost looks like "burgandyish" leather grain.
I don't know if it would benefit your rc car bodies. But you could give a small technique my auto collision teacher told me at the end of my second year. It's suppose to give the effect of color changing paint. Though not on part it works for being inexpensive.
Take some mixing clear and mix in some metallic flaking. Since rc bodies are apposed to a car body. Dust it in lightly and just put a plain base color to match. Simple as that.
I experimenting with it on my brothers dirt bike when I graduated. Painting his frame black and dusted some purple metallic on it. Though I think I used a bit more since it shows more purple unless you're right up on the frame to see it's black.
Anyway. Sorry to sound as if I know more, which I probably don't. But again, cool paint and nice monster truck.
