Well, this is my WIP Ice draconian warrior, due to appear in the Friday Night Costume Contest at Dragoncon 2015. I've got a LOT of armor weathering to do, and the armor needs to be fitted a bit better to my body but overall I'm pretty pleased. Now if I can just get my wings to stop derping....

Woooo another dragoncon attendee? Are you cosplaying or fursuiting? Look for me from Thursday to Monday, I'll either be in my lion Cathar Jedi, Cyrus Hunter the Lion, or in this dragon :D. Heck, if I'm not fall out exhausted, I might be available for pics after the FNCC> I'm not sure what my chances are of winning or placing, some of those costumes are crazy professional, but we'll see! I ended up having to enter the Journneyman category (which is for people who have previously won a major costume contest) even though I'm totally a novice.... The Novice category had a waiting list 13 people long, and the Jman one was only 2 people long, and I've already been notified that I'm off the waiting list.
Heck yes, me an my partner are going to be going this year : D They're going to be the one in the more impressive costumes, I'm not going to be super dressed up myself, probably casual cosplay for the most part. We're actually gonna be debuting our collaboration costume there in the contest too : ) Wow though, that waiting list sounds ridiculous, sounds like you made the right call for sure, entering journeyman, if you're already into the category !
oh awesome you're in the FNCC too?! What category did you enter? I am super excited, I've only done one other costume contest in my life with one of my partials, and it was a very small con in Columbus GA called Nerdacon, I got a Judges Choice award in that. No prize but still, it was a great feel-good moment. I remember the entrants in last year's FNCC, they were on a whole 'nother level of awesome, especially the 'Junk Lady' costume!
We're under the video games category I believe, since the character we are building is a World of warcraft creature : ) I'm really excited honestly, ive never been to a con quite as big as dragoncon before, so it'll be one hell of an experience for me : D and ahhh man congrats ! My mate has done the contests before and tends to do pretty well in them, but I don't forsee myself competing for quite a while, at least not til I have one of my own personal projects actually finished
