Fun, boisterous, and just a little bit wacky, Jazzabella is a whimsical creature known as a katadile. She loves to run, play, and dance in the sun, and making her friends laugh is one of her favorite past-times. Even though she is goofy and silly, she has a good heart and has a lot of love to give.
After she tuckered herself out taking a jog through my lawn, she finally spied the garden. She was very interested in picking the flowers - probably because they share her vibrant and beautiful colors!
Jazzabella was made on commission for a customer on Etsy - and she is one of my biggest dolls to-date! Her arms and legs are posable, and her tail is slightly posable to help her keep her balance.
She was created by forming a wire armature (skeleton), then covering it in a core of foam to give her a hugable, lovable shape. After that, I needle felted over the foam core with wool to make her soft and plush. Her eyes are made out of polymer clay and liquid poly-clay (to give them the sparkle of life), and her teeth are sculpted out of regular Sculpey.
