Guess who installed Sai recently~... ^.^
Introducing my primary Pathfinder Society RPG character, Saki Wu. As of this post, she's a level 5 Ninja, with a particular focus on Snake Style + Unarmed Strike, which I've discovered is an incredibly hax, broken build. And she's not even remotely optimized. ;)
In games, she's tended to act as the party face (now that our hax sorcerer left the group for a home campaign) and bats cleanup behind our warpriest and barb, except for the one time every other scenario when she hits with all three of her attacks and goes off for 50+ damage at level 5. With sneak attack, of course.
Pathfinder Ninjas, when done right, are so incredibly powerful, but it takes a specific build to do it correctly. At level 12 she's going to go to plaid. 100+ average damage if only her three highest attacks hit while she's invisible (she'll have 2+bite+ki point at that level). If you've never looked into it before as a PFS player or are just curious, it's like combining a monk and rogue, except it's specifically a rogue alternate class so you can actually multiclass with monk or brawler (hybrid class, not fighter archetype). All the skills and perks of a rogue with the combat style of a monk and none of the armor penalty considerations. Brawling Magical Armor? Yes, please.
This pic is also indicative of her current and planned equipment loadout when in combat mode (non-exploratory):
- +1 Brawling Haramaki
- +0 Agile Amulet of Mighty Fists (yes, this is PFS and RAW legal)
- Belt Pouch (inside: Wayfinder and Flask with Sealord Wine)
- Pocketed Scarf (for when she needs to hide things or stash something important, ninja-style)
- Headband of Mental Prowess (Wisdom/Charisma, will get this when I have the cash for the universal skills boosts, particularly to her main two: Diplomacy and Sense Motive)
- Masterwork Light Crossbow not pictured
Someday I'd kinda like to get two fighting fans just to fit her character as she's developing... I gave her Perform: Dancing when I ran out of skills to dump points into every level as a focus. One day I hope to buy her a Theater... except it'll be a burlesque house. And then folks will have to call her Madame Wu. ;)
