A doll of straw could also be called a "strawman", and a strawman is a type of argument where you present a really filmsy, exagurrated version of your opponents position in order to make fun of it, which is exactly the type of argument most of Electras insults are made out of. So, by saying that it's stupid for anyone to be scared of a strawman, she's essentially argued against herself.
