As a facilitator, you tend to collect enemies. Some people don't care for the status quo. Many prefer to be in power. Others simply don't enjoy being manipulated. Precautions must be made. Thus the persona "darkwitt" was born. The concept is of a vaguely canine shape based on a Virtual Assistant. The projection will always imply the person behind is present by proxy. This allows the wearer to project himself where needed, and also provide a nice double bluff if he actually needs to show up in person. Darkwitt often has to be in multiple places at once, and this appearance prevents others from discerning a great deal from his identity.

Granted, when he first started out, the technology was rudimentary.The Facilitators were experimenting with holographic projections, but they were more for more immediate projections. You would have to stay within a meter or two of the projector for the disguise to work. Nothing as complex as a remote image. And certainly not something that could be projected with hard light capability. Darkwitt utilizes similar technology to the trid projector in the shadowrun series, hard light devices in the Mass Effect series. Not nearly as complex as Star Trek's Holograms, but believable enough to project an image that can be used like a marionette from a considerable distance.

There are considerable drawbacks to this kind of device. Such as the potential psychological implications of assuming this kind of persona for long periods. The hard light projection requires a synchronization with your neural pathways to keep your movements in sync with your body, and, much like tensing a muscle, requires rest after long periods. Darkwitt has yet to test what would happen if he was assuming this holographic persona for more than seven straight hours. as he often logs off to allow his body to rest.

After all, Presentation is paramount when it comes to dealing with business and political types.

I absolutely love this rendition. Though I never really considered having the cyan ears and nose, the style really seems to compliment it. I may post one or two more references of the darkwitt character. Who knows? If people enjoy the facilitator thing I may have more of them drawn in addition to Darkwitt. Whatever may come along.
