Dora already sounds short and sweet to me, but if it was me, I'd probably call her door. Kurfust I'd either call Kur, Kurf, or Curfew if I wanted to make a pun. Breihzlander... I might call him Bryce.
Just to give you an idea, I have a friend named Kyra (pronounced Kee rah), so sometimes I call her Key Chain or just Key XD
