This is a pretty nice story, even though I have the sneaking suspicion I have read something very similar to it before, several times in fact...
Still, themes are, interesting. I am sure there is an in depth argument about what makes someone human in there somewhere. What could have set up the factory though? Seems like something a two dimensional anime villain would do!
