I am not discouraging people from drawing overbites the first way! I just want to inform people of the anatomically correct way, because overbites aren’t always the tooth is hanging over the bottom lip, actually from what I’ve seen that’s rarely the case.
More often the front most teeth are just pushed forward, making it so that the lips can’t close over a person’s teeth. It can be forced closed sure, but when the mouth is relaxed the upper lip just cannot cover the teeth.
I should know, I have a permanent overbite. So yeah there’s your teeth/overbite faq. But please, feel free to draw it any way you want.
