I noticed something strange where a lot of people have called out this picture of Mirabelle ( http://orig06.deviantart.net/d87f/f.....ut-d8yw12n.jpg ) as their favorite I’ve done so far, and I wasn’t sure why, since I didn’t really approach it in any different way than any other.

…Except for the eyelids, which I noticed I drew jutting inwards as opposed to arcing softly, like I normally draw them. Drawing this portrait the same way, it did in fact look a lot different than the first sketch. It’s weird that such a small change can have such a big impact on how you perceive an expression.
