Back on more familiar territory now...the actual pokemorph characters from Timothius' and my "Evolution Squared" cast.
On the left is Fargo the Farfetch'd. Nonmorphic but intelligent, he's the group's Yoda: wise, whimsical, speaks in broken English, and capable of kicking your ass seventeen ways to Sunday before you know he's moving. I created him as a sort of apology to one of my favorite Pokemon after I drew a 'morphed relative about to get run through by my insane Zangoose-morph...I mean, let's face it, any seemingly animalistic creature who evolves into martial-arts masters as a means of preserving their species once their sheer deliciousness is discovered by humanity deserves respect.
In the middle is Timothius' Raichel, one of his favorite characters and Fargo's most devoted disciple, at least of his combat philosophies. Bad-tempered, impulsive, and seemingly oblivious of being female, Raichel is the constant butt of the others' attempts to "pull the bo staff out."
And, speaking of impulsive, on the right is Evan. Timothius and I both wanted to use Eva Helix, but I also wanted to use her for the "Moro Island" story. Once we decided, though, that "Evolution Squared" would ultimately be the origin of Moro Island, I decided to create her ancestor, the first possessor of her reversing Eevee-lution powers. The pendant was supposed to be the source of them, but I have a much simpler method she uses now.
At any rate, Evan was the team idiot. Immature, easily distracted, and unable to properly control his powers (he seldom evolved into the Eevolution form he was trying for), he was almost the exact opposite of Raichel (and his eventual granddaughter, Eva). Naturally, he and Raichel were nuts about each other, and, just as naturally, they were the most horrified by the idea of them together if anyone brought it up.
