For a while now, I've had a Tigerdile account, for the sole purpose of gaining access to the chat function (While TgD streamers can allow guest users to chat without accounts, this practice is "not recommended" owing to potential moderation difficulties with rogue guests.)
Edit: I've opened my streams to guests, as long as they behave
About a month ago I decided to make use of the 30-day stream trial that comes with every "chat" account to see if I could do streaming. Over the course of a few sessions I learned how to configure Open Broadcaster so as not to overtax my primary laptop, set up microphone and background music, and be able to monitor the chat window without using a second monitor like most people do (I have my Surface Pro logged in next to the main computer), and work on projects with a (small) audience.
Edit: I use my Android tablet with the Puffin browser to monitor the chat. You can use this browser to view streams and chat using a mobile device
Seeing that I was able to make the above work, I elected to continue beyond the trial and send $5 a month toward the service (being able to do this without the involvement of PayPal was a bonus). This meant to me, that I should make up a stream announcement pic so that people other than those watching me can have the opportunity to drop in. I'm realistic about this though, I don't expect any great number of people to show up (y'know that thing about needing accounts to chat and all), and I've never had more than three viewers in any session so far, but it's enough to get me to stick with digital artworks for a lot longer than I usually do, and this may mean a greater frequency of uploads. I'm not equipped to do commissions this way, as I stall on setting up a second checking account to let PayPal link to (and thus be isolated from my "important" account), but this may become a possibility at some undefined point in the future.
Edit: I acquired a PayPal account in 2/2016 and am technically capable of accepting stream commissions
The actual "streaming" pic is derived from this one--it uses a closeup of the hydrant as an icon and this pic with a screamingly-bright green "STREAMING!" caption, with my Tigerdile stream address below. The purpose of this version is to have something for watchers and reflexive favers to +fave, as the actual announcement pic will vanish once the stream is over so as not to clutter up my account.
Technical:
This image is only the third pic I've completed that was done completely digitally, from the pencil sketch to the finished ink+color. Many artists are no strangers to this method, but I haven't had any real motivation to learn it. Streaming changes that. Since I had another project underway using the open-source Krita, I chose to start this one with my (paid-for) copy of Clip Studio Paint EX (the download version of the "expert" version of Manga Studio). The inks came along surprisingly quickly, and helped along by a Razer Tartarus gaming keypad (an idea I got from yiffmasters), got me into a workflow that progressed a lot faster than I thought I could muster from an art application that I was completely new to (especially when you see how much stuff is on CSP's UI). The primary benefit in this pic is the shading/highlights in Tina's hair, helped along by the canvas rotate feature (Krita would probably allow me to do the same--we shall see). I used my old application to generate the thumbnails and add my signature to this version.
Anyway, to wrap this up, Tina's tennis dress uses colors from pink/purple Nike Rosche One that I plan to draw on her when she's not exploring mud holes, and the sandals are plastic platform-soled "jelly" sandals referenced from Google Images. She'll get a see-through pair soon enough though.
Digital pencil+ink+color done with Clip Studio Paint EX. Nine layers including text, 11MB in CSP's native format.
