So after buying and watching Aaron Blaise's "How to Draw Big Cats" bundle it inspired me to go back to my own creatures and and redesign them all the way down to the bone. One of my oldest creatures being the Fireback Righar.
It's anatomy is mostly a combination of gorilla and grizzly bear with a bit of my own tweaking and imagination so, obviously, it's not 100% accurate but the species looks far more realistic than what it was before.
Fully grown males are 1.3m at shoulder. They're very strong, fast and short tempered. During mating season the mane on the back of males will change from dark brown to an orange brown. Hence the name fireback.
