Stream commission of  sanagi of three huge showgirls of theirs. They were impressed with the details I put in.

I draw my frills by first sketching out a band full of repeating lines, bearing in mind the 3D-ness of the form. I use those as a guide for the bottom frills. The upper line gets a small stitch in between each, from which I extruded an upper frill. I... Still have a lot of progress to accomplish on my frills though; I don't consider myself particularly good just yet.

The corsets are referenced. I always have references up when I draw intricate clothing like that. References are important to make things look nice, especially fine details. Overall, if you want to do details like that just be patient.
