Nari is not happy with Melissa... and she will tell her.....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He was really cute when he slept, Nari thought as she stole a look over at Hiroshi while stopped at a red-light. He also didn't mind that he called her that. It was one of the things she liked about him. He was okay with 'cute' as well as handsome. She also admitted she enjoyed running her paws through his soft fluffy fur. Her's was thick but lacked the soft silky quality his had. She often thought he had gotten a bad deal. She could bury her paws in that fur whenever he let her and enjoy its feel, and the muscles beneath all the time. Her's wasn't quite so nice feeling.
He also looked more relaxed than he usually did at school sleeping there. That made her happy. Then she growled softly at the thought of just why he wasn't happy and probably gave her sleek RX-7 FD a bit too much gas off the light. Hiroshi didn't move though that was how much he trusted her driving. He didn't even jump when the pop-off valve went off anymore either. Of course that might also be the schedule he was keeping these last few weeks. He had one of his first auditions for dance school next week, and then there were the recitals he was involved with the choir this month as well. She was just glad that she was available to help him out.
It was also she admitted a little selfish of her. It meant even a few more minutes to get him to herself and he was a pretty good snuggle. As if to answer her thoughts at the next light Hiroshi stretched out a little bit his paw reaching over and brushing her arm. She smiled and took her paw from the gear lever and squeezed his paw. That helped Hiroshi along in waking up and she smiled and ran a paw along his large silky soft tail where it lay across his lap. "Hey Prince Philip."
Hiroshi smiled at her. "Prince Philip?" There was a big yawn. "I'm not much of a dragonslayer."
She smiled. "But he was a collie, and besides you don't look good in a dress. I've seen the pictures."
Hiroshi groaned. "I thought those had been lost. They were all taken with that old Polaroid granddad gave Kaori."
Nari smirked. "Nope, I've seen them. Pink really isn't your color."
He sighed then smiled back moving as close as he could within the confines of the molded seats of the FD. "No, that's Hime. Really though, Prince Philip? I'm not really the dragon slaying gung-ho type." He said it with no irony at all
Nari snorted. "You are the part of the Prince in the Nutcracker production. I think that might qualify. Besides, Philip's singing voice was alright, not as good as yours but all right."
Hiroshi flushed a little as they pulled into the parking lot. "You know for a girl that hadn't even seen Sleeping Beauty until my older sisters sat you down for a 'Princess Marathon' you seem to like that one."
She smiled. "Well, Aurora was useless but the Prince was cute at least."
Hiroshi smiled as she found a spot shut down the FD and gently bapped her with his large tail as they exited the car. "Maybe you have a thing for guys in feather caps?"
"I dunno, are you going to wear one anytime soon?"
Hiroshi laughed, it was a good laugh. "Ok, Ok, I give. Though I think one of the recitals does have me in costume like that…"
Nari smiled and waited for him to collected his bag of dance paraphernalia then she wrapped her arm about him for a hug. He sighed happily as they walked wrapping his tail about her own. "I have to stay after a little to go over the solo with Mrs. Greenback but I should be ready by four or so."
"So you still taking me out dancing tonight?" she asked with a smile. There was a local 'Teen's club' run by one of the youth organizations to give an alternative to students getting fake IDs and finding adult clubs to get in trouble at. Tonight was dance night where they did up the building in blacklights and played all sorts of dance music. It wasn't anything like ballroom or the jazz she'd seen him do with a few partners but it was something she had found she loved doing with him."
Hiroshi squeezed a little tighter before reluctantly separating. Their first classes were in opposite ends of the building and they were at the cross-hall. "I wouldn't miss it I…"
"Yooooooooooooshiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!" A bubbly and much despised voice called out and Hiroshi cringed a bit just before a black furred wolfess in the school's cheer outfit rushed up slipped around Nari and bowled into Hiroshi. "You're going to the club tonight! Awesome we're heading there after the Pep Rally I want my dance boy!"
Hiroshi whimpered a bit under the wolfess's attention. He tried pushing away. Had it been a male that had done this to him or started shooting him insults or calling him 'little dancing fairy' like she had heard a few times he would have shot back and defended himself well. Melissa Lewis was something he had a lot of trouble with. He didn't shirk away though and he tried to harden his voice. "Melissa…"
"Missy!!! Oh honey how often do I have to tell you! I'm Missy to you!" the wolfess continued somehow able to avoid his efforts of pushing her away. Nari noticed that the way the wolfess moved made it so Hiroshi would have to grope certain parts of her body that he was rather uncomfortable doing in public to push her away.. That caused the Amur leopardess to snarl slightly grab the wolfess and yank her back. Unlike her gentleman and boy she had no problems with a little grope or rough-handling to get her away from Hiroshi.
"Hey you…" the wolfess snarled and tried to get around Nari. "Get away from my Yoshi!"
Nari was taller than Melissa Lewis and planted herself in a stance that told everyone about she was ready to defend Hiroshi if it came to that. She didn't advertise it but she did have some martial arts training. "He is not your's Lewis." She looked over her shoulder at Hiroshi. "You ok?" she asked gently.
Hiroshi nodded. "Y...yeah." He stood with more dignity than he thought he had. "I should probably get going, you know how Mr. Lamarte thinks that the bell means you're running late."
Nari gave him a smile but she also saw the worry in those bright blue eyes. "Don't worry," she told him and he gave her a quick nuzzle before heading off. That let Nari turn towards Melissa and plant herself firmly in her path. As soon as Hiroshi was out of sight and hearing Nari snarled. "Last chance Lewis. Leave Hiroshi alone."
The wolfess just snorted. "You don't get to tell me what to do with my Yoshi you amazonian thug!"
Nari was actually slightly impressed that the wolfess knew that term, but not enough to back off. "He isn't your anything Lewis. He made his choice and it was never you."
The wolfesses simply snorted. "He is just shy and you are not helping. He is my boy and I'll snuggle how I like."
Nari snarled. "Really Lewis? You want to say that, when everyone knows how he's told you before to back off?"
"He… is… SHY!!!" the wolfess shot back. "He doesn't like public cuddles but I'll help him learn to like it!"
She was crazy, but pointing that out to her would not be the best ideas. She'd just go running with a wet face to the nearest teacher that thought she was a good little girl, not the crazy psycho she really was. "If he says no, then its no Lewis. I know he has and he might not be a violent person, but I can be if I'm protecting him. Do you really want to deal with that?"
And she knew that was a mistake to say as soon as she said it. "We'll just see! I'll tell Ms. Porter that you just threatened me!"
Nari simply shook her head. "You have nothing to worry about Lewis. If you stay away from him."
