I have tryed both, and I have to say they comepaire like this.
3.5 is the avg. tbs with nuke attacks mid to end game. good, soild, and if you play right, and not like your trying to win, eveyone does their job specatularly.
4.0 takes a more Disgaea types style for battle (except, ya know, no reincarnation in game.) where your actions cause movements on the board even when you just make a basic hit.
and to drake, who exactly does it confuse you? have you tried it yet? it looked complacated for about 3 rounds for me, then the light turned on and I got how to use it right.

Ah, but he's trying to cast it in her pants. That implies that it's a specialized magic missile! It's prolly covered in one of the Dragon Magazines. If I had to guess, it prolly has a Verbal Component ("Cheesy Pickup Line"), a Somatic Component (hand movements to at least remove certain key articles of clothing), and a Material Component (something creamy). The Material component doesn't get consumed unless the spell is completely successful. Also, if I had to guess, depending on the kind of Material Component used, rather than dealing damage, it just has a certain percentage chance of pregnancy.
However, if the target interrupts the spell, there's a good chance the caster will take more than 1D4+1 damage. XD

Combat section on my character sheets (I keep them in word documents) includes BAB, then all relevant weapon bonuses. Hit and damage rolls are noted for each weapon I'm carrying. The size modifier for small should just be noted by the GM on the AC of the critters.
Example: Goliath (Races of Stone), BAB 6, 14 STR, Exotic Weapon Proficiency: Dwarven Waraxe, Two-weapon fighting, Shielded Axe feat.
Large +1 Dwarven Waraxe: +9 to hit, 2d8+3 dmg, 3x crit (20)
fighting with 2 weapons: -2 to hit(both hands)

I picked up some 3.5 stuff, and I found a loophole that makes lvl6 characters RULE.

I'm going back to 2.0, I've spent 20 years with them, I know how to abuse them without nuking the game
and for smaller targets, use a scythe and sweep back and forth in a regular motions

in these situations my dm would tell me to roll and to see if it even mattered. Once I got a twenty, and he house rule on criticals meant they could chain. at 20-20-17 we all just looked at him and he said. "Okay fine, the merchant sells you the bow for only a few coppers but now she thinks you're gonna marry her!"
Not to mention the free action you get when showing that much cleavage, and the +2 to charisma for the partially bare nipple, as well as the +3 boost in morality to your companions. Oh, oh, Don't forget that it's Trashy night down at the docks, so that's an automatic free pint of ale!
