The male leopard, Habiti, is based off of the young leopard from The Leopard Son. His counterpart in later iterations of the story is named Hawa (Swahili for "Love").
The female leopard, Ansunni, is based off of the leopard mother from Beauty & The Beasts. Her counterpart in later iterations of the story is named Ruya (Swahili for "Dream").
