It's been a while since I'd taken one of my black-and-white comic strip gags and 'colorized' it. Well, I'd chosen a classic 'fat furry' gag - set at a public swimming pool - and added a 'splash of color' to it (pun intended)!
When I'd originally posted my "Water Conservation" gag, I had my portion of Florida in mind (as it had undergone a drought for a number of years); but now this comic could easily represent an even bigger drought going on throughout California - with its citizens being restricted from washing their cars and watering their lawns. But, oddly enough, swimming pools are the exception to the rule.
Now, if only someone could explain that to the big-bellied bear in my strip!
