As mentioned in my previous upload, Nala dies in the story after a confrontation with Sadidi. After the story severed ties with the TLK-universe, Nala's role was taken up by a young lioness named Iphiko (Zulu, "Wing").

Iphiko's basic storyline remains close to how I originally planned it, however (unlike what actually happened in the documentary) - Iphiko left the pride with her unborn cub to escape the regime change. The new pride leader, holding a strong hatred for the deposed king, hunted her down and killed her when she refused to give up the location of her cub.
