On rare occasion people will do "perma-vore" with recurring characters.
The point of perma-vore is to get rid of a character you're bored with
by officially killing them off.
On one of my stories someone asked me if the prey would ever return for another story.
I had to tell them that I pretty much wrote the character to be eaten and that he's staying dead.
