He's a cutie I built for a Final Fantasy Tabletop RPG. xD I originally built him as a Support Engineer, but I rebuilt him as a White Mage with high Tech scores and Craft (Tinkering) to fit his backstory (...'cause we wicked needed a healer, and I was trying to fill that role with Engineer for some reason originally >>;;).
Alright, so Viera society goes a little something like this. They live in treetop communities hidden by the magical forests they inhabit, where they are segregated by gender because reasons. (FF Tactics Advance implies that the males are generally rather solitary, while the females tend to band together in more organized towns). It's assumed that the two genders don't really mingle because they don't get along, and that after they mate and their child is born, the father takes it if it's male and the mother takes it if it's female.
Vilette's mother didn't want to let him go, so she hid his gender from the rest of her society. Once he became a toddler, it became much more difficult to hide... and he was found out. Those who break the law face exile if they aren't willing to amend their ways, and Ljan wasn't willing to part with her son.
She left her home and faced the dangerous forest, young Vilette (then named Aila) in tow, wandering aimlessly with no true knowledge of the outside world. It wasn't long before the hapless Sage was ambushed by wild animals, the failing light of dusk and the glow of her magic illuminating the scene. She fought valiantly, persevering through the wounds she received, and drove the creatures off, but with her magicks exhausted and her mortal flame beginning to flicker out, she slumped against a nearby tree and cradled her whimpering child.
----Will add more later; gotta go to bed or some crap. Stupid 5am shifts.----
Here's a link to the PDF if you and your friends would like to play a Final Fantasy Tabletop game! http://ffrpg.net/ffrpg3e.pdf xD
Gotta love those damage values scribbled in on the right... >> can't wait to eventually ink'n color this one so those go away XD
