This started out as a doodle but evolved into what you see before you. Took me forever to get the background to not look as halfassed as it actually was... so I grabbed a texture from http://www.mayang.com/textures/ as well as one of my own to make it seem more busy. Thus I win.

And the contrast of the hyper-real fur-texture and cloth-drape with the almost impressionist background simply ROCKS. It works very well with the expression and tone of the character, IMHO.
