
Took some lawn rollers off Google images and doodle painted them for fun.

The important thing with references isn't to draw out the exact image, but rather take the most important parts of the image to recreate. For example, the teal roller I painted has a lawn and a pair of legs in it, which I didn't paint. I also didn't paint any logos or stickers that are on each roller. Lastly, I focused more on the big shapes of them, as opposed to any minute details.

Thanks for the advice, it does. I know it sounds silly to ponder that, but with all the drawings that seem to come out nearly exactly like the original style or look, or manage to pull off their own style with a near exact look to the character/object, you start to question how you should go about stuff.
