Just a sketch of a coyote in the rugged badlands of South Dakota. This was inspired by my recent trip to SD's badlands for the first leg of my road trip to Yellowstone.
I plan on having the character mostly in the shade of the rock overlooking the horizon just as the last of the sun is visible. I'm going to attempt usinge really cool colors for the shadows and bright reds and oranges for the sunset. Going to use watercolor.
