Reminds me of a neon sign.

It was a pleasure to be able to work on it, and help your group.

It's easily visible, not too busy, got the clef in the back. After some thought, I've decided that the FM initialization is good, what with music on FM radio, so it's funny, relevant, and quickly identifiable.

One might say that with the neon design, it doesn't have the same "universal music" impression as the classic sheet music, but I feel that it's a subjective matter.

The new logo is very well designed for sure, and the FM radio reference is quite clever.

Yet it feels like the old design is more suitable to all kinds of music. As a blues-country-rock musician, this isn't exactly the kind of logo I'd have enjoyed displaying in the first place. But that's only a personnal opinion. :)

Well, those are sound bars in the background, and if you're making music, whatever kind, you'd make em jump about just as well.

Making a logo that encompasses the feeling of all (or if not many) of the genres of music is exactly the kind of thing that I wanted the logo to be when I first started making concepts. I went through a lot of ideas trying to design something that was equal towards as many different slices of music. Somewhere near the arse end of the process I had to make a choice because, at least for me, it was proving an assuredly impossible task to represent all genres of music in a logo that was going to be 100x100 pixels. Adding too many little nods to the different parts of music would cause the logo to be noisy and silly looking. The name of the game as with many other things is KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid).

In the end, I made the choice to do something more modern feeling definitely to my own dismay. I understand that it might not align very well with the blue-country-rock genre, however I would have to make a compromise at some point.

Hey! Glad to see you're leaving comments and stuff, you're warming up to the idea of this group very quickly!

As for your logo, I feel like it would be used over Halloween, or something, with an old, flickering screen effect added to it. It's a bit grungy for day to day viewing, though.

Pardon the monochrome colors. I aimed it for simplicity and familiarity.

Hmm. I do like the genre ambiguity in this one... and although the shades are monochromatic, it has a sort of vintage look, alluding, perhaps, to FM's long history on FA.

I shall consider this, no doubt, and if I plan to go forwards with something like it, I'll certainly notify you.
