Details that often seem to be glossed over with worlds full of anthro's, is the fact that carnivorous animals have to get meat somewhere. If we're giving human-like sentience to a bunch of animals it stands to reason they will form a human-like society. We generally frown on people eating people, but it's understood that animals eat other animals. What happens when animals are people?

Well, I would assume you get some who disagree with consuming others while others argue it's their right to eat others. Regardless though, carnivores are going to have to eat something. So what do you do? Concessions have to be made. I would imagine you'd see three different things happen:

1) Foods would be designed to supplement nutrition. Effectively going vegetarian or vegan to an extent. (Edit - I suppose this would include fish, eggs and other alternative food sources)
2) The elderly and a selection of dying people might donate their remains to be consumed. Perhaps this is somewhat morbid and gruesome, but is free of cruelty and would save your relatives from those who...
3) Disregard social norms and consume whomever, whenever.

Delilah opts to option #1 and adamantly opposes #3 but is accepting of #2. She has a camera show (that will come up in Fugue State down the road) that is primarily PPP (predator-prey play). While she opposes eating other animals, there is a danger and a riskiness involved with PPP that she (and her willing participants) enjoy. Like a different form of S&M.

She herself though is somewhat gaunt and anorexic. But she swears it's not because of her choice of diet.
