I think you should postpone the release date and work some more on it...make it 3 or 4 minutes instead of just 1 minute...of course a lot of people will tear their eyes out over waiting for it for so long...but the wait will be all the more worth it...try not to rush your work Charon...just work on improving and adding as much as you can...take your time...and by taking your time you'll come up with more brilliant ideas then what you originally had...and then work on adding them to the animation...time is precious but also expensive...expensive in the fact that the more time you put into your work...the more better it will be...and therefore (say for example if you were to put it up for sail) it would be more valuable....because it'll be more popular among the community...so postpone you release and work a little more on it...make it better...make it longer...and therefore make it all the more heart-throbbingly lovable.
Rendering alone is usually on an order of 7-10 minutes per frame for relatively simple scenes. For scenes with volumetric effects like water, hair, particles, expect 5-10x that.
Even at 10 minutes per frame, 30 frames per second, 1 minute animation is 18,000 minutes or 300 hours or 12.5 days to render
This is not inclusive of any of the actual work to A) model B) rig C) texture D) animate E) do sound design or F) re-render scenes or rework items because the shot didn't work as well as you'd thought.
For my senior project in computer animation, I had an entire semester and a summer, 5 months total, to do a 1 minute 3d animation. I barely got it done in time working 3 4 hour classes a week + 20 hours of lab time per week and crunch time weekends.

So many days waiting for the video and you teases us again with another teaser! @w@
The bunny looks awesome, large and in charge, and I bet it's gonna be a fantastic animation!
I'm still checking your youtube channel everyday in case you post it and watch it :D
But I must say... wasn't she in a bikini while walking on the countryside? Why is she in a jogging outfit now? :3c
She still looks awesome btw
Keep up the great job and RELEASE THE VIDEO ALREADY! @u@

Getting me rather curious about how exactly Maya works these days, recently picked up 3D Studio Max again and it's a much smoother experience than the ol' 7 I was taught and tutored years ago.
Impressive amount of triggers and fluid animation in your prior animations.. tossing out a guess, running at 60 FPS?
Thanks for sharin, been following your varied stuff ever since that nigh-ancient image of a ringtail leaning on a structure with a wee admirer... If memory serves me right anyway, It was a considerable amount of years ago now.

First off, you are awesome Charon and this looks amazing! Now, I don't know much at all about rendering, but is there any chance you could do a version of this with her wearing the same outfit from "A walk in the country" without having to redo everything, just changing her outfit? That may be extremely difficult or easy, but I just don't want to annoy you with that question :)
