At just over 4000 meters in diameter, Umbra station is one of the largest of the Xinaran super-structures. It is the central starport for both military and civilian spaceborne activities in the Qu'en* system, and locked in geostationary orbit over the capital city of Xinara.

The population generally hovers around 70,000 individuals with 50 thousand civilians and 20 thousand military and support crew. The current station was built 90 years ago and has another 130 years of expected life before it will need to be replaced.

The docking and construction wings can easily accommodate up to six of the largest capital ships in the Xinaran fleet, and dozens of smaller craft are docked at the station at any given time. (Though from the looks of it is seems a bit quiet today!)

It is powered by a single Vacuum energy module, and can be completely self sufficient should the need arise. The defenses are formidable, with multiple-heavy capital ship shield generators, overlapping xehna'kah* stations, several particle and pulse energy weapons, and a compliment of antimatter torpedoes.

Xehna'kah - Shield officer. Xinarans that are trained to use use shields or energy fields. It is a type of martial art that incorporates malleable shields or force fields as an extension of the individuals fighting style. Shield systems can be brought to bear and strengthened, or even deflect or reroute energy based weapons by manipulating the shield structure.
