Blargh. The story I have most fresh in my mind involves air pirates, high-altitude airship combat, and sword-fighting.

It's kind of hard to do that with art THIS bad.

Uh...what's American Splendor?

It's a fucking comic book and it even got made into a movie. You're a bad geek for not knowing.

Um...it's an autobiographical comic about Harvey Pekar. He started drawing stick figure comics about his life one day (drawn absolutely horribly, not half-decent like yours) and then showed them to his friend, who was a professional artist for like DC or Marvel or something. And his friend started illustrating them in superhero comic style and they published it.

Granted, I might not be able to give you superhero-comic quality, but if you wanted to do something like that I could do something like what you've got now but with smoother lines and a bit more detail (both in case you want it and also so nobody says "oh it's a geek comic with stick figures so it's a ripoff of xkcd).

OH! Jeez, I READ that...I haven't seen the movie, but I don't know how I didn't recognize the title of the comic.

And my stick figures aren't "half-decent". They're just plain bad.

Thanks, but...I still don't think this would work pretty well with the kind of fictional storylines I have in mind. I mean, it's easy to look at stuff like Keychain of Creation or Order of the Stick and say "Well, those are just stick figures, it should be easy to do!"...but they really are a heck of a lot better at the art-stuff than I am.

it's the subejct matter, sure this dude has little to say but you can still stick draw your storylines
anyway anyone that looks at the kingdom of loathing site with it's stick figure parodies is proof lol
and i'd love to see your comcepts come to life, besides it's obvious you has a core audience right now
